PREVIEWING THE PRINCIPALSHIP
A Workshop for Those Aspiring to an Elementary or Middle School Principalship

Previewing the Principalship is an awareness workshop for individuals interested in learning more about the principalship. Materials for this workshop were developed by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Workshop participants explore the day-to-day life as a principal, examine and affirm their own professional talents and interests, develop a vision and create a map for their professional career planning.

While the workshop explores the challenges and rewards of daily life as an elementary or middle school principal, it also addresses the current issues of standards and accountability and their impact on how principals must be prepared to lead their schools.

This workshop will be offered twice. Friday, November 9, 2007 and Saturday, March 8, 2008. The session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m.

Registration
The registration fee is $125 for MAESP members and $150 for non-members. The $150 fee includes aspiring principal membership in MAESP.

Workshop Cancellation Fee
Workshop registration cancellations will be honored ONLY if received 72 hours or more prior to the scheduled event and will be subject to a $20 administrative charge. No Shows will be charged the entire registration fee. WALK-INS (on-site) registrants will be charged an additional $20 over the advertised registration fee.
