Cognitive Coachingsm

Cognitive Coachingsm is a supervisory/peer coaching model workshop offered by the Missouri Council of School Administrators which will be lead by Dr. Pam Conway. Dr. Conway teaches effective communication skills for the workplace and life through the Cognitive Coachingsm model.

The interactive/applicable sessions, of which there are 4 (four) in number, wil be held at the MCSA Educational Center, 3550 Amazonas Drive, Jefferson City, MO beginning on January 20, 2010.

Session times: 8:30 to 3:30

Join other learning focused leaders for these Cognitive Coachingsm sessions. These sessions will help develop the capacity of those with whom you work. This training is focused on people. Administrators especially appreciate the alignment with the performance based evaluation process.

Particpants learn how to:

Build trust and rapport
Facilitate thinking through questioning and language precision

Develop autonomy, efficacy and self-awareness in others

Distinguish between coaching and evaluation

Apply coaching skills to enhance intellectual performance, and
Utilize planning, reflecting and problem resolving maps and tools.
